The feed
News & macro
The trenches do not exist in a bubble. Big world news moves crypto too. These feeds watch world news for key phrases, follow where venture money goes, and post short daily market summaries.
World news watch
Built on GDELT, an open database that indexes world news minute by minute. We watch four sets of phrases, each with its own channel. Matching articles arrive with the source, country, and language:
| Channel | Watching for |
|---|---|
| #news-geopolitics | War, sanctions, UN news — the headlines that move markets overnight |
| #news-economy | Inflation, interest rates, recession, central banks — Fed, ECB, BoJ, IMF, World Bank |
| #news-prediction-markets | Prediction markets in the news — Polymarket, Kalshi, event contracts |
| #news-stablecoins | Stablecoin news — new rules, depegs, adoption |
Fundraising
New crypto fundraises land in #funding: the project, the round, how much they raised, the valuation when known, and who invested. Where the funds put money this quarter is where the stories come from next quarter.
Token sales
#ico-ido follows upcoming and active token sales from strong projects, with the sale terms, dates, and backers.
Airdrop campaigns
#airdrop-tracker follows airdrop campaigns as they change: new tasks, reward status, ratings, cost, and time needed. This is separate from the community's own airdrop chat.
Daily summaries
- #trenchonomics — a daily market dashboard: key numbers with their daily change, plus a calendar counting down to the next big economic event.
- #bitcoin-bottom — one post per day: how likely a Bitcoin bottom looks right now, which signals say so, and a simple buy / hold / exit split. One post a day, on purpose.
- #arc-chain-recap and #multichain-recap — all the new projects we found in the last 24 hours, grouped by chain. The calm evening read after a fast day.
Because on some days it is the only thing that matters. A surprise inflation number or a stablecoin headline can move your bags more than any token alert. These wires make sure those days do not catch you sleeping.
